We stayed on Holy Island this afternoon and, because the tide was out, we managed to walk over the St.Cuthberts Isle to visit where St.Cuthbert himself would retreat to. We then went back to the beach to find Cuthbert beads. These are fossilised crinoids found on the beaches of Holy Island that could be used to make necklaces. Check out some of the tiny beads we managed to find!
